Hi, I’m Cat Rowan
I created this space to help women like us rediscover strength, ease, and confidence through mindful movement, self-care, and inner connection.
For over eight years, I’ve worked hands-on as a massage therapist, continually training to help people improve posture, relieve pain, and move more freely. What I’ve learned through that experience is that the body never works in isolation — our physical tension often mirrors what we hold in our minds. Stress, emotions, and daily pressures can settle deep into our muscles and joints, and real wellness means releasing that, not just stretching it away.
Before all this, I was an avid rower in my hometown — the rhythm, strength, and focus of it gave me such clarity. After having children, I swapped the river for the gym, and that’s where my love for movement truly deepened. When lower back pain eventually caught up with me, I found Pilates. It became my foundation — the way I rebuilt my strength from the inside out, reconnected to my core, and learned to move with intention.
Now, keeping my body fit and strong through menopause is non-negotiable. I see movement as medicine — a way to stay grounded, confident, and vibrant through every stage of life. My interest in pelvic floor health, posture, and functional strength has only grown stronger with time, as I’ve seen how deeply these areas influence both physical comfort and emotional wellbeing.
Energy healing has also played an intrinsic part in my own recovery — helping me not only heal my body, but calm my mind and find balance when life feels too full.

Why I Started This Site
As much as I love my hands-on work, I know how important it is to build something sustainable for myself and others. Massage is hard on the body. And like many women in midlife, I’ve been rethinking how I spend my energy, what wellness means now, and how to feel good for the long haul.
La Vita Calma gives me a space to keep learning, share what’s worked for me and my clients, and help other women over 40 feel empowered – not overwhelmed – by their wellness journey.
